Noémie Leer
Noémie Leer, born 1984, is a hybrid artist based in Luxembourg. She was first introduced to music and the arts at the age of four. She received her artistic training (violin, singing, piano, drama, diction, improvisation) at the Académie Musicale Vivaldi, the music school of the City of Echternach and the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg.
Emphasising an artistic approach based on multitude and diversity, she sets herself the artistic challenge of constantly evolving towards new aesthetics rather than opting for the limitations and confines of a specific style.
Since 2007, she has made a name for herself as lead vocalist with the bands Rude Revelation (thrash-melodic death metal, 2007-2015) and Elysian Gates (symphonic metal, 2015 - 2022).
Over the years, she has built up a wealth of experience through numerous collaborations and participation in various interdisciplinary projects (performative, visual, sound and literary). It is only since her return to Luxembourg, after studying ethnology and art (Kunst, Musik, Theater) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, that she has found her artistic path.
Since then, she has appeared regularly on stage as part of music theatre projects (Kveldulf, E Living an Amerika, BCEE Spuerkeess, etc.) as well as with De Kapitän Mullebutz a séng Séisswaassermatrousen, a children's music theatre ensemble based around Georges Urwald and Dan Tanson, of which she has been a member since 2015.
In addition to her work in the socio-educational field, she works as a musician/performer, choir director and commercial announcer.
Since September 2022, Noémie has been taking on new challenges as a music teacher (rock/saturated singing and early musical education) at the Luxembourg Music School in Sandweiler and as a qualified music therapist.
